Mill Hill Driving Test Centre routes have both busy dual carriageways the A1, A41 and rural roads. There are large and double mini roundabouts which are frequently taken during the driving test from Mill Hill Driving Test Centre.

The testing examiner will require you to drive safely on different road systems, roundabouts, junctions and crossroads etc.

The practical driving test is designed to see if you:

can drive safely in different road and traffic conditions

know the Highway Code and can show this through your driving ability

As long as you show the standard required, you’ll pass your driving test.

There’s no legal minimum number of driving lessons you must have or hours you must practise driving before you take your test. There are no pass or fail quotas.

During the test, the examiner will ask you to do one manoeuvre out of the four and may be requested to do emergency stop, having a 1 in 3 possibility. Approximately 10 of independent driving will be involved.
